Welcome to LCBA

Welcome to LCBA - HomeLooking for a Charter Boat Captain on your next visit to Louisiana? You've come to the right place! The fishing is great here. Spend your day inshore chasing Speckled Trout, Redfish, Drum and Flounder.  Offshore you have a variety of Snapper, Tarpon, Tuna, Marlin and many more species.  The Louisiana Coast is by far the premier saltwater fishery in the United States.

The Louisiana Coast is teaming with fish and bait, moreso this year than any year in the recent past.  Reduced effort last year has left millions of fish in the water that would have normally been harvested. Our Speckled Trout spawn has begun and will run into the early fall. The spawn brings the fish together in schools where limits are more the norm than the elusive dream that everyone chases. Louisiana has a 25 fish limit on its Speckled Trout, another example of the abundant fishery on our coast.  Offshore action is expected to be much the same.  Early reports seem to show that with the reduced pressure from last year on both the fish and the bait, there are more fish to be had and they seem to be closer than normal.  Louisiana's proximity to the 'shelf' already provides for short runs to blue water now the fish are coming in to meet us.  Your LCBA guide is here waiting to take you to into our little slice of heaven, what better way to spend a day?

The Louisiana Charter Boat Association (LCBA) was created to protect and promote the development and preservation of the fishing guide industry in Louisiana . Your LCBA member guide is an individual who has proven to be properly licensed and insured for the activities that they participate in. Who you fish with is just as important as where you fish.

Whether you’re fishing for redfish or trout in our coastal areas and marshes, enjoying Louisiana’s world-class offshore fishing or casting a line in our many freshwater lakes and bayous Louisiana Has It All!
